Alison Doody

Alison Doody (born 11 November 1966) is a famous Irish model and actress. Doody made her acting debut in a Bond film, A View to a Kill in 1985. In 1989, she played an archaeologist with Nazi sympathies Elsa Schneider in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Siobhan Doovan portrayed Charlotte as Taffin in 1988 and Rebecca Flannery starred in Major League II in 1994. Doody started modeling after being invited by an experienced photographer. This led to a successful career as a commercial model. Doody avoided nude and glamour work. This was a principle that was carried into her acting. Having come to the attention to the director of casting for the upcoming James Bond film she accepted the role of Jenny Flex in 1985's A View to a Kill. Doody is listed in John Willis Screen World's Vol. 3 as being one of the 12 top actors from 1986. 38. The year 1987 was the time Mickey Rourke starred in A Prayer for the Dying where she played IRA Member Siobhan Donovan. Doody was a silent actress in a 1987 film adaptation of The Secret Garden, playing Archibald Craven's dream wife Lilias. The first time she played the lead in the 1988 episode of Jim Henson fantasy series The Storyteller as Sapsorrow opposite John Hurt Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders. She starred alongside Pierce Brosnan in the film Taffin (1988) prior to taking perhaps her most well-known role to date in the role of Austrian Archaeologist and Nazi-sympathiser the Dr. Elsa Schneider in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade as a co-star with Harrison Ford. Doody played alongside Sean Connery in the film and played the role of her father in the film. Doody was a part of Jonathan Pryce as Hitler Diaries the British mini-series based on Hitler Diaries. Later, she relocated to Hollywood. She played Flannery in Major League II, opposite Charlie Sheen. Doody was a part of The 2002 British comedy The Actors. Michael Caine was her character in a celebration to receive an award. She was in the film with Patrick Swayze, in the 2004 TV film version to King Solomon's Mines. Doody made an appearance in Danny Dyer 2010's The Rapture. She was also set to be the main character in The Asphyx remake, but the project was cancelled. Her first two seasons on The E4 comedy Beaver Falls in 2011 as Pam Jefferson. In 2014, she was a part of We Still Kill the Old Way. She received the Almeria film award on 21 November 2018.
